1800's Vintage Billiards/Pool/Snooker Scoring Stand
This piece was purchased at an auction. The tag on it read,
"Imported from Ireland. Purchased at a Pub Sale, 1850's"
The auctioneer said that's all he knew about it. It came from an estate he bought in the Seattle area,
and the tag was already on it.
Based on style and finish the date could be a little early, but not much.
The scoring stand is about 64" high, 34" across and 3" deep, plus feet.
Numbers 1-31 at top with rows of peg holes (no pegs with it).
There are 10 tiny numbered scoring peg compartments with brass handle sliding doors...very cool!
There is a fennel brokan and gone off one end, but otherwise its a fine piece of craftmanship.
It is untouched and uncleaned. Sold as found.
Freight quoted to winning bidder.
Suggest professional crating, also at buyers expense.
We will transpot locally in Western Washington State
