This listing is for Brazilian Cherry/aluminum Canoe motor mount:
The crossbar is 3/8 x 2 1/2 inch aluminum. It is 28 inches long. Most mounts are 24 inches long and I have found that turning to the inside in shallow water will put your prop on the skin of your canoe. I can adjust the motor so the prop can turn on a dime. The crossbar has pre drilled holes so you can select a better location for a more comfortable grip.
The clips are custom made at the exact angle of an old towns mounting clips. They are 1/4 inch thick by 2 inches. The mounting block is 7 inches long by 4 inches wide. It is cut at an angle so your motor sits perpendicular in the water. The block is attached by 3 1/2 inch hanger bolts and tightened by 1/2 inch nut and washer making a solid secure connection. This way you can easily take it off and use it on the left or right side of your canoe! The finish is 3 coats of poly and 1 top coat to seal out water.
This is a heavy duty mount! It will hold any troller or small gas motor and fit on most plastic, royalex, or aluminum canoes gunwales. Even colemans and pelican boats with small gunwales. I have sold these mounts for over 4 years. Please check my feedback and e-mail me with any questions or comments. Thanks for looking!
