I acquired it (along with several others) from a 78-yr old gentleman from the Big Manistique Lake area in Michigan. Like Lars and Svein, he is relatively unknown; his name is Fin Benjamin. He resides in the Upper Penninsula. I've several similar jig sticks that I acquired from him. I collect them, sometimes give one for a gift...and now I need to start auctioning some off.....only some;) I'm too fascinated with them to part with them all. As you can see, the handle is carved in the shape of a Canada Moose. It is 14.5"-Long. There is a line-tie hook forward on the handle, and a drop-line hook on the end. On the underbelly, there are 2 bent copper wire loops for wrapping line. *The copper is sturdy but soft and can be flexed upward or downward as you desire to accomodate line-wrap.** This stick is good-looking and functional,(especially for smaller fish) also has tremendous displayability, and great collectibility...
