Set Vega MAS Oval Racing Go Kart Tires & Wheels
You are bidding on a complete set of Vega MAS racing go kart tires mounted on Tru Center fully machined wheels. Tru Center wheels are the newest wheels on the market and (in my opinion the best). Tires mount easier and are roll more true with these wheels, not to mention the finish is brighter and better than WMS or Douglas wheels. The tires were professionally mounted using Jones Enforcer billet aluminum tire bands (no cheap clamp down band used). The right side tires have been trued on a $5,500 Jones Super True Tire Lathe. The set has been ran for 1 race day and then the right side tires were wet sanded using 3 progressively finer grades of sandpaper and have not been on the track since they were sanded. The wheels are used but are in good condition, since they are used they may have some very minor scratches, scrapes or dings but roll nice and true and look great (the right side wheels are new). The left side tires are in very good condition and have not been sanded. They were stored in a climate controlled environment and have not been riding around in a trailer. These tires work great for fall, spring, winter, night, and indoor racing (they have a ton of grip). They are ready to roll! Here are the specifics the wheels/tires: 2 - 12.0 x 8.0 - 6 Mounted on new 10" wide Tru Center fully machined wheels backspaced at 4" with an American bolt pattern. The tires measure 33 7/8 inches in circumference with 8 lbs of air. One tire was trued to .050-.060 and the other was camber cut and has .035 on one side and .065 of rubber remaining on the other side. Both tires have been wet sanded. They have approximately 70% of the original rubber remaining. 1 11.5 x 6.0 - 6 Mounted on a 8.25" wide Tru Center fully machined wheel. This tire measures 32 7/8 inches in circumference with 8 lbs of air and has approximately 90% or more of the original rubber remaining. 1 - 10.5 x 4.50 - 6 Mounted on a 6.5" wide Tru Center fully machined wheel. It measures 32 3/8" in circumference with 8 lbs of air and has approximately 95% or more of the original rubber remaining with the centerline still visable around the tire. It looks like new. This is an good set of tires with one day of racing. Here's some additional information from Vega: The Vega tire has displayed very positive results in several areas. Performance: The new Vega Oval tire, straight out of the wrapper, has tested to be as fast or faster than the current spec tire that has been cut and prepped. Excellent wear: The special natural rubber formula has increased tire life 2 to 5 times over the current spec tire. Resistant to heat cycles: Testing has proven that there is little or no decrease in performance after several heat cycles. This allows the karter to use the same tires over several weekends without a decrease in performance. No need for tire cutting: After extensive testing, the tire has been manufactured with the correct thickness of rubber for maximum performance without cutting. No need for tire prep: The latest technology rubber formula provides race winning performance without the addition of tire preps. Testing shows that the addition of prep does not enhance performance. This set is ready to hit the track and win the big bucks!
