The majority of the photographs are pieces of furniture from the famed 20th century designer George Nakashima, who was one of the worlds greatest craftsmen in wood. Origins, which the collection for Widdicomb was named has been called "one of the most stimulating and thoughtful concepts of furniture design ever to be presented." This is due in part, to George Nakashima's deep understanding of natural beauty and of the aesthetic values in home surroundings. Each piece in the origins collection bears his signature.
